A Bride’s Skin-Care Routine

Gopi Vichhi

So my Omani friend Lamiya has shared some helpful tips for a bride’s skin-care prep.

Being a bride is a happy time in a girl’s life, regardless of culture or nation. However, when it comes to weddings, the bride’s trip from preparation to the D-day is highly agitating as she has a long To-do list, of which her beauty care plays a vital role, right?

Bride with good skin

Since I live in Oman and like how Omani women maintain their beauty while preserving their traditions, Let’s begin by exploring the bride’s skin-care practices of Omani brides leading up to their wedding day prepared by Vawchoo

During a conversation with my friend Lamiya Jamal Al Jahdhamy, who recently tied the knot

We discussed the usual bride’s skin-care skincare routines for Omani. According to her, following a thorough skincare routine and modifying their regular diet is crucial to have beautiful skin on their wedding day. In addition, individuals prioritise keeping their skin hydrated by consuming ample amounts of water, indulging in facials, and utilising natural masks.

When getting ready for their big day, it is common for people to go the extra mile in taking care of their skin and hair. However, for her, home remedies did not quite do the trick. She needed a more thorough skin cleansing to achieve the desired results. She wanted to look and feel great for her special day, so she went to a reliable salon for high-quality skin-care treatments.

To maintain the health and appearance of her skin, she adopted a simple daily routine.

She diligently applied moisturiser, eye cream, and sunscreen to her face each morning and night.

Additionally, she consciously tried consuming two litres of water daily to keep her skin hydrated.

On occasion, she indulged in facial treatments that gently exfoliated her skin, utilised natural face masks, and through steam inhalation. These efforts effectively ensured her skin remained healthy, radiant, and youthful.

Moroccan Bath for brides

She performed a body scrub once a week.

A Moroccan bath monthly, a body steam bath monthly, and a body massage once every month. According to her, a woman should start caring for her skin three to four months before her wedding. Moroccan baths, commonly referred to as the “hammam,” are another popular spa treatment. This is well-known all over the globe for its numerous health and therapeutic advantages. The procedure employs only 100% natural Moroccan ingredients to cleanse and remove all dead skin thoroughly.

She used sunscreen every time she went out in the sun, cleanser after removing make-up, and toner before bed. Additionally, one may get beautiful skin in a matter of days by using natural masks, the most well-known of which is the sandal mask in Oman.

She said, “Yes, one should make sure that the skin is not allergic to the products used. It can be used on the rest of the body after being tested on a specific area. However, to achieve the dream bride’s skin care, she must also ensure she is not exposed to the sun.

Participating in bride rituals is highly successful in yielding positive outcomes. To achieve the best possible results, giving your skin the utmost care is crucial, resulting in a brighter and healthier appearance.

For visible effects and the development of new skin cells, it is recommended to continue with the rituals for at least 1 to 2 months. Remember to prioritise self-care and indulge in some well-deserved pampering during this process.

Bride preparing her skin-care

The bride’s skincare ritual at many beauty salons and spas involves several steps.

Some recommended places to receive this treatment include Amro Ladies Salon at the Panorama Mall. Also, Salwa Al Ghafri in Al Khaud, Ghazal Beauty Studio, Huda Ahmed, Crystal Beauty Centre, and so much more!

Above all else, the bride’s joy and excitement for her new beginning in life enhance her beauty. A bride would love her wedding day as it’s the big day of her life; she would cherish it forever.

Uff!! I’m getting all sentimental talking about everything bride related.
